Note: Prose version of the Roman de la Violette by Gerbert de Montreuil (first half of the 13th century), often attributed to Jean de Wavrin and preserved in two manuscripts, MS 9631 and Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France, ms. français 24378. The miniatures are attributed to the Master of Wavrin. Text dedicated to Charles de Nevers, nephew of Philip the Good.; Volume perhaps owned by Jean de Wavrin and certainly in the collection of duke Philip the Good. From 1748 to 1815 in the Royal library, afterwards Bibliothèque nationale in Paris.

Reliure (note): 18th-century Parisian binding in red maroquin with the coat of arms of Louis XV of France.. At this moment taken out of its binding.
